Erik Nielsen


Associate Producer, Utah NOW

Erik Nielsen has been on staff at KUED for over fourteen years, holding jobs in Master Control operations and then Technical Production. He was hired in 2001by Senior Producer Ken Verdoia, with whom he received Associate Producer credit on several award winning documentaries, including “Shadow of Hope,” “Battalion,” and “Secrets of the Lost Canyon.” He also coordinated KUED’s coverage of the past three election cycles.

In addition to his KUED resume, Erik has produced elsewhere…most recently for the International Olympic Committee during the XX Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.

A native of Utah, Erik is a graduate of the Department of Communication from the University of Utah.
