Rebecca Davis

Interim General Manager

Rebecca W. Davis is the Assistant General Manager and Chief Financial Officer for KUED.  She provides strategic direction and oversight of the administrative and financial activities for all departments within KUED.  She administers KUED’s budget and ensures that all financial objectives and funding goals are met, and that the station is in compliance with University policies and federal and state regulations.  She prepares the annual KUED audited financial statements and the accompanying Annual Financial Report that is required by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to qualify for CPB Community Service and Distance Service grants.  She is also the Chief Financial Officer for KUER-FM at the University of Utah Eccles Broadcast Center.
 
Davis has 28 years of experience with Public Broadcasting.  Prior to serving as Assistant General Manager and CFO, she was the Senior Accountant for KUED.  She has experience in the private sector as well, as the accountant for a small business, as a financial analyst for a defense contractor and in real estate sales.      
 
As CFO, Davis has administered balanced budgets for KUED.  Under her leadership, the federal, state and private money that is given to KUED for its day-to-day operations as well as for future programming purchases and digital television conversion is used prudently. 
 
Davis received her M.B.A and B.S. degrees from the University of Utah.  She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Mike, and her children, Joseph and Jessica.
