Alan Cutler

Producer/Director

A proven veteran with nearly forty years of professional television production experience, Al Cutler joined KUED in the late 1970s.

A versatile “behind the scenes” professional, Al serves as KUED’s primary Director of studio-based and remote productions. He has directed programs as diverse as Civic Dialogue, VoteUtah debates, the Veteran’s Day Concerts, several inauguration ceremonies for Utah’s Governors, as well as numerous athletic events at the University of Utah.

Al is also in high demand for his camera skills. He has worked for various networks and cable enterprises in covering several Olympics, NBA basketball and NCAA football and basketball.

Currently serving as one of KUED’s staff Producer/Directors, Al has previously served as the station’s Unit Manager (responsible for studio operations) and Production Supervisor (overseeing scheduling of personnel and facilities).
