Ashley Swanson

Archivist

Ashley first came to KUED as the Promotions Intern, assisting with press, community out-reach and advertising. She transferred to Production with the onset of the American Archive Initiative and has sense become Station Asset Archivist and go-to person for archived requests.  With the FCC mandates on closed captioning, Ashley picked up the onslaught of closed caption hurdles from finishing to cc’s for web broadcasting. She also steps in as Studio Crew, running teleprompter and Floor Managing during productions. She occasionally assists as a PA with rendering, web promos, captions, DVD printing and other tasks.

Ashley enjoys all forms of the creative process, from pen and paper to rendering and
outputting. In her off time she loves to work on personal film projects, cooking, hiking, crafting, yoga and taking long walks with her dog Penny.
