Salt Lake Mailing and Printing pays close attention to the needs of its clients. From jobs as small as 1,000 postcards to mass-mailings with over 2,000,000 recipients, SLM&P employees work closely with their clients, supporting their needs with a knack for remembering the details. But their services don't stop with the client; they also offer a public service to communities across the state by underwriting programs on KUED.
"We're here to provide the best direct mail and printing services; we work closely with many different types of customers to offer the best support, follow-up and attention to detail possible," says Doug Engh, sales representative for SLM&P. "Our willingness and ability to work with any client, large or small, really sets us apart."
With a strong customer support tradition under the leadership of owner Gary McCarver, SLM&P offers its clients a variety of services, including: one- to four-color offset printing services; high-speed laser printing, capable of running 200 letters per minute; ink-jetting; and manual and mechanical inserting, with a capability of up to seven inserts per envelope. "The quality of those services," Engh says, "reflects the quality of programming found on KUED"—making for a natural partnership between the two.
"We like KUED," says Engh, who notes that The Red Green Show and broadcast performances by André Rieu rank among his favorite PBS offerings. "It isn't everywhere on the dial you can go to get such high-quality programming. We're happy to help cover the cost of bringing this valuable service to the public."
In addition to underwriting on KUED, the employees at SLM&P are active volunteers and donors for various food bank drives.
"We're always willing to help out a good organization," says Engh.
