Since 1941, Mrs. Backers Pastry Shop has been baking cakes, tarts, tortes, cookies and trays of baked goods that dazzle the senses. Located in Backer’s Square on South Temple in Salt Lake City, this delightful bakery has remained in the Backer’s family for four generations.

On first arriving at the bakery, visitors are struck by the charming building and signs. There is no mistaking that this is a paradise for connoisseurs of tasty treats. The cases inside are filled with so many inviting options, it can be hard not leave with a large selection and a smile on your face.

Renee and Marty Backer, the owners of the bakery, have been devout viewers of KUED for years.
