COMMUNITY COMMITTMENT
Comcast’s commitment to our customers and the communities we serve goes well beyond offering the best in video, HDTV, Comcast Digital Voice and High-Speed Internet services. Even though we’ve invested more than a billion dollars in our Utah network over the past 10 years, we believe one of our most important investments is giving back to Utah through community improvement events, programs and local sponsorships.
For the past four years in Utah, Comcast has sponsored Comcast Cares Day, a day of volunteer service held annually where nearly 2,400 of our employees, their family members and community volunteers join together to help students in need. Each year these volunteers make a difference at ten Title 1 elementary schools from Logan to Layton, and from the Salt Lake Valley to Utah County. They paint and fix-up the schools to provide thousands of students brighter, more exciting learning environments. Utah employees are joined in this day of service by 50,000 fellow Comcast volunteers across the country.
Through Cable in the Classroom, we also provide free cable service to 486 Utah schools. The program is part of a nationwide initiative that offers educational programming to benefit teachers and students.
Comcast also contributes to several community organizations in Utah including Power in You, the Inclusion Center, Huntsman Cancer Institute, United Way and the Utah Coalition of La Raza, to name a few.
