Makers: Voices of Utah Women , produced by KUED’s Nancy Green, tells the story of the women’s movement in Utah through the firsthand accounts of leaders and activists who fought to alter the social fabric of the state. It was a time when women were learning to speak up and speak out. A time when women had different visions of what equality meant. A time when the voices of Utah women would finally be heard.

This Diverse Voices program was screened on Wednesday March 13th, 2013 at 7:00 pm -9:00 pm at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (formerly Salt Lake Art Center).
- Nancy Green, Producer
KUED Producer Nancy Green specializes in the production of documentaries for local, regional and national PBS broadcast. Her work at KUED spans 19 years. Her topics range from healthcare to history to the environment. Recent, works include, Martha Hughes Cannon, Utah's Freedom Riders, and On The Edge: Mental Health in Utah.
- Karen Shepard
Currently serving on a mixture of corporate and non profit boards, Karen Shepherd’s career life has been broad and varied. Most recently, she served as a Presidential appointment to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), representing the United States on its Board of Directors. Prior to her appointment as the U.S. Director at the EBRD, she was the second woman in the history of Utah to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to being elected to Congress, she was a member of the Utah Senate.
