Earth Days: American Experience
Aired Monday, April 19th, 2010 @ 8:00 pm on KUED HD Ch. 7.1 »
Earth Days, a special two-hour American Experience documentary about the origins of the modern environmental movement, artfully assembles never-before-seen archival footage to create a film that offers both a poetic meditation on the environment and nature, and a probing analysis of past responses to environmental crisis. Told through the eyes of nine Americans who were inspired to act on what they believed was the most important challenge facing mankind, the film documents the groundbreaking activism, national legislation and grassroots organizations that led to the environmental revolution.
