Kristin Chenoweth Sings "The Dames of Broadway" Hits

Release Images:

Live From Lincoln Center presents "Kristin Chenoweth: The Dames of Broadway...All of 'Em!!!" airing Sunday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. on KUED.

A specially conceived concert for Lincoln Center's 2013 American Songbook series, the program salutes the great roles for leading ladies and the sidekick scene stealers from an array of Broadway composers and lyricists, creating a performance that is at once intimate and filled with Chenoweth's trademark "razzle dazzle."

An Emmy- and Tony Award-winner, acclaimed recording artist and New York Times best-selling author, Kristin Chenoweth effortlessly transitions between stage, television and film. She has appeared on blockbuster television programs such as The Good Wife, Glee (Emmy nomination), The West Wing and Pushing Daisies (Emmy Award in 2009).

On Broadway, her performance as Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown earned her a Tony Award in 1999. She later created the role of the good witch, Glinda, in Wicked, for which she received a 2004 Tony nomination.

She performed in the New York Philharmonic's revival of Candide and the Encores! production of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. She is one of only three musical theater singers to perform a public solo concert at the Metropolitan Opera House, the others being Yves Montand and Barbara Cook.

In 2012, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame inductee finished her critically acclaimed world tour in her hometown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. While on tour, she performed songs from her latest album, Some Lessons Learned, as well as an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from Wicked; Promises, Promises; and Glee.
