The wild world of animals is filled with unique moments of impact -- the violent collision of cheetah and gazelle, the lightening strike of a venomous cobra or the deliberate reach of an elephant's trunk. But how are these animals equipped with such extraordinary dexterity and ability?
KUED-Channel 7 presents Nature: "Moment of Impact ," airing Sunday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. The documentary is the first of a two-part series that takes a thorough and technologically advanced look at animal's behaviors and physical attributes when they make contact with one another, focusing on the mechanics of how they achieve their extraordinary feats.
Using high definition cameras, the filmmakers capture the action of animals in motion. However, this footage reveals only part of the answer. State-of-the-art computer graphics present a bioengineered and innovative look at how animals work when they make contact.
