
Aimed at pre-schoolers, this series follows the adventures of Bob and his machines: Scoop the leader/digger, Muck the digger/dumper, Dizzy the cement mixer, Lofty the crane and Roley the steamroller. Bob's business partner Wendy and Pilchard the cat all help out in the builder's yard. Other characters include Farmer Pickles, his tractor Travis and the naughty scarecrow Spud -- who is always up to mischief.

Dizzy Finds a Pirate - Fixham Theatre needs work completed before the performance of The Legend of Brickbeard, with actor and theatre manager Richard Olivier in the lead role. When Dizzy tells the team that she has seen Brickbeard backstage, Spud and Scrambler believe he's returned to stop them from finding the Golden Hammer. Later Dizzy realizes that it wasn't Brickbeard, she saw but Richard Olivier rehearsing for the play. Meanwhile, Spud and Scrambler are still trying to figure out the meaning of the last clue they found. Backstage, Spud pulls a rope to reveal a secret trap door with another red box in it! When they open the red box they find another clue, a picture of a boat. Roley & the Seagull - At Fixham Harbor, Bob and the team are in the process of moving an old ship. Roley befriends a seagull that gets very angry when the team begins to lift the old ship out of the water. The angry seagull disappears on to the ship. Spud and Scrambler's latest clue is a picture of a boat but there are several boats in the harbor. They finally get to the old ship and notice it's the Bonny Beard - Brickbeard's ship! With Lofty's help, Bob travels up to the crow's nest and realizes the angry seagull has built her nest there and wants to protect her eggs. He gently lifts the nest to reveal another red box! Spud and Scrambler are ecstatic and present the box to Bob later that evening. He's amazed to find the Golden Hammer inside and they are overjoyed to be able to hand it to Bob - the best builder ever!

Scoops' Sea Rescue - Scoop dreams he's a brave sea captain. He's so excited his mind is elsewhere! He doesn't hear Bob asking him to collect the special fixings for the new lens for the lighthouse. Later, Bob asks Scoop to collect a special tool. He has to get back quickly, as Splasher will be arriving soon with the new lens. But Scoop doesn't listen again. Scoop rushes guiltily back, unaware that Splasher is on his way. Splasher sees Scoop and swerves but the lens topples from his trailer into the sea! Bob is confused- Wendy warned Scoop that Splasher was coming so why didn't Scoop see him? Scoop confesses he wasn't listening. Scoop hurtles onto the beach, and scoops out the lens, moments before it hits the rocks! The team finishes the job, and the lighthouse beams light across the sea. Scoop promises to start listening! Scratch's Star Turn - Today is Fixham History Day, a day when everybody celebrates Fixham's past. Bob and the team are turning an old ship into a stage for the show. Scratch is thrilled when he lands a part in the play but is worried he won't be any good at acting. Scratch decides he must find out all about 'Ships, Pirates and Fixham" and disappears off on his own adventure. But it's only when Scratch sees Bob and the team working hard in the distance that he remembers he was supposed to be helping! And when Scratch looks for the special poster, he finds it lying in a nearby puddle - ruined! Scratch races back to Bob and the team, with the ruined poster. There's no time to make a new poster. Scratch has learned about it! And with the children's drawing skills, they make a brand new poster just in time.

Chip Chipper and Scrambler are taking the Sunflower Valley kids on an overnight "Badger Patrol". Their motto is "Be prepared" - advice that Scrambler is determined to follow. When Roley tells him that the patrol will need shelter, Scrambler rushes to get a tent from Mrs. Bentley - but Chip has already organized the kids to build bivouac shelters. Then Roley tells Scrambler that the patrol will need food so he rushes off to get some fruit and nuts. But again, Chip beats him to it with some energy bars. Finally, Roley says that the children will need to keep warm at night so Scrambler zooms off to get some warm clothing, not realizing that the patrol already have warm jackets. Scrambler feels bad for not being properly prepared. When the patrol needs some badger food, Scrambler realizes that his fruit and nuts are ideal. He was prepared after all! The patrol declares Scrambler to be the coolest patrol member ever. Mr. Bentley is in need of a proper Mayor's office so he can stop filing his paperwork in Mrs. Bentley's greenhouse. Bob sets about constructing a special building made out of unusual recycled materials. Sumsy wants to help and sets off to find some materials for Bob. Unfortunately, she gets the wrong end of the stick and brings some bricks and some glass from M.r Bentley's greenhouse - things that people still need. Chaos ensues when birds make off with Mr. Bentley's paperwork. Spud retrieves the paperwork but Sumsy feels terrible. Eventually Sumsy has a great idea for some unusual office furniture, woven from recycled wooden twigs - including a filing cabinet for Mr. Bentley's paperwork!

Everybody is getting ready for the Big Summer Party in Bobland Bay and Bob and his team are going to build two shelter stops for Splasher's new ferry route. Splasher just can't wait for them to finish! He races around announcing his new route, but no timetable has been put in place yet. Despite what he thinks, Splasher can't be everywhere at once. With passengers waiting at both stops Splasher gets into a muddle and starts to think he has let everyone down, until he sees radio DJ Mike Turntable's speakers and has a great idea. Using the speakers and his talkie-talkie, Splasher creates a loudspeaker system so he can announce his arrival times and be Super-Splasher once more. Mr. Carruthers, the Chief Building Inspector, arrives in Sunflower Valley to inspect the Team's work. The machines try to show all the good parts of Sunflower Valley but only remember their mistakes! The machines worry that they are useless and rush in to defend Bob before Mr. Carruthers can give his verdict. Luckily Mr. Carruthers thinks that Sunflower Valley is the very best community he has ever had the pleasure of inspecting and that they must have had an awful lot of fun building it!
