The Doctor follows a Time Lord distress signal to a mysterious asteroid in a Bubble Universe - could there really be another living Time Lord out there? But the asteroid hides a secret which could threaten the existence not only of the TARDIS crew, but of the TARDIS itself.

The TARDIS is marooned onboard a seventeenth-century pirate-ship whose crew are being lured to their death by a beautiful Siren. When the Captain's son is taken, the implacable pirate must place his life in the Doctor's hands and with him, take an extraordinary leap of faith.

The Doctor is locked up in Area 51. Amy, Rory and River Song are being hunted down by the FBI. But, with the help of President Nixon and Neil Armstrong, the Doctor is able to mount a rebellion against an alien invasion dating back to the very beginnings of human civilisation.

The Doctor, Amy and Rory receive a secret summons that leads them to the Oval Office in 1969. Enlisting the help of a former FBI agent and the irrepressible River Song, the Doctor promises to assist the President in saving a terrified little girl from a mysterious Space Man.

A space liner carrying over 4000 passengers, including Amy and Rory on their honeymoon, is caught in a strange electrified cloud cover over a human-inhabited planet that interferes with its controls. The Doctor is summoned by Amy, but is unable to use the TARDIS to save the ship, and instead lands on the planet and discovers a spire in the centre of a large city is influencing the atmosphere. Its owner, the bitter and peevish old Kazran Sardick refuses to operate the isomorphic controls to deactivate the spire and allow the ship to land safely. The Doctor observes Kazran's fear of his father who had built the spire, and creates a scheme inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol to bring Kazran around.

It's Christmas Eve, 1938, when Madge Arwell comes to the aid of an injured Spaceman Angel as she cycles home. He promises to repay her kindness - all she has to do is make a wish. Three years later, a devastated Madge escapes war-torn London with her two children for a dilapidated house in Dorset. She is crippled with grief at the news her husband has been lost over the channel, but determined to give Lily and Cyril the best Christmas ever. The Arwells are surprised to be greeted by a madcap caretaker whose mysterious Christmas gift leads them into a magical wintry world. Here, Madge will learn how to be braver than she ever thought possible. And that wishes can come true...
