To Sean Patrick, the challenge of climbing was parallel with her fight against an almost certain death sentence - ovarian cancer. She used this comparison as a catalyst for change. Though she succumbed to the disease in 2009, her legacy lives on. Her “power of one” continues to save, enrich, and empower countless lives. Hers was a life, a lesson, and an enduring example of how we might also climb for life; to live - and live big - through something bad.
