Erik Nielsen has been on staff at KUED for over twenty years, holding jobs in Master Control operations and then Production, both technical and editorial. Erik has won four regional Emmy Awards, including "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made" and "Condemned" under the title of Producer. His other production credits include "VoteUtah" (KUED's regularly scheduled election coverage), "The Governor's Monthly News Conference" (an ongoing series featuring the standing Governor of Utah and a press corps), and "Ethically Speaking" (a one-hour documentary on business leaders with Utah ties).
In addition to his KUED resume, Erik has produced elsewhere...including for the International Olympic Committee during the XX Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. He has also worked as a freelance camera operator for the NBA, NCAA, and for six Olympic Games.
A native of Utah, Erik earned his MBA from the David Eccles School of Business, and is a graduate of the Department of Communication from the University of Utah.
