Gary Turnier has been a Videographer on staff at KUED since 1996, where he has worked with the KUED production staff on documentaries such as Secrets of Lost Canyon, Shadow of Hope, Battalion, Teenage Sex & Fatherhood: Nathan's Story, Friends & Neighbors: A Community Divided and On the Road with J. Golden Kimball. These and other shows have received awards from The Society of Professional Journalists, Rocky Mountain Emmy, World Fest Houston Platinum Award, Telly Award and Utah Broadcaster Association Awards.
Gary has received individual achievements awards from Society of Professional Journalists, Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards, National Videography Awards and the Telly Awards. Gary has a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications: Television and Film from The University of Utah, where he also studied photography and music.
In addition to his work at KUED, Gary freelances as a camera operator with other television networks on sporting events and with local agencies on commercial work.
