KUED's Commitment to Captioning

KUED is proud to offer closed captioning services and we work diligently to ensure that all our programming includes this service. We've also purchased the equipment to caption our local productions and to broadcast captioning signals to your set at home. We monitor captioning signals from our master control room to ensure quality and to solve problems when they occur.

Closed Captioning is an on screen text display of the dialogue of the program you are watching. The display of captions is controlled by your television set and can be switched on or off, either by using a "caption" button on your remote control or by changing a setting in your television set's menu or setup screen. Check your owner's manual for information specific to your set. The FCC allows some exemptions from Closed Captioning for older programs produced before the requirements were established, for some programs scheduled during late night hours, and for some new networks such as KUED's V-me on channel 7.3.
