Goals:
- To provide public television viewers with information and insight regarding the mandatory February 2009 shut-off of our stations' analog signals.
- To assist our viewers and donors in making an informed choice in their selection of technologies to receive our digital services.
- To effectively promote our new digital channels, services, and program material to current - and potentially new - viewers and members.
Welcome!
With the impending analog shut-off, the AGC is committed to help stations educate the public and viewers. That’s why we’ve created this special web site as a repository where stations can share their “Best Practices.”
We’ve made it easy for you to submit samples of what you’re doing to educate your viewers, including your station’s plans, promotional/ educational efforts; short on-air spots; articles; print pieces; etc. The search function lets you easily find what other stations are doing in a variety of areas and lets you rate how helpful the ideas you find are.
We’ll link to information from the FCC, APTS, PBS, NAB and other groups; important articles from the industry and popular press; as well as statistics regarding over-the-air households.
When it comes to informing the public about analog shut-off, we’re all in this together.

KUED-TV General Manager
