Sesame Street has a new kid on the block – meet Julia! Julia is smiley, curious, and loves to play. She also has Autism. Kids can learn more about autism and how it presents in children, and what to do when someone on the autism spectrum doesn't react in the way they may expect. We may play differently, but that's what makes it fun to play together!

We are warming up at KUED with some yummy hot chocolate recipes. Because many of our friends here are vegan or dairy-free we made sure to gather a dairy-free/vegan recipe so everyone can cozy up with a mug.

For many of us, the New Year is a time to set new goals and make positive changes. Eating healthier or increasing exercise - there is always room to grow by setting resolutions for the coming year. Setting new goals as a family is a great tradition to do as you ring in the new year.

We love PBS Crafts, and with Halloween around the corner we thought a quick craft from PBS Parents would be the perfect activity this afternoon! We suggest putting newspaper on the table to make glitter cleanup much easier. Encourage your kids to think of their own Halloween-themed creations to make with glitter, glue, and some black paper.

This month is National Bullying Prevention Month, and here at KUED we’re providing links to resources on bullying for your families.

Embrace worldwide diversity in your home by learning "Hello" & "Goodbye" in a new language or two! There are over 7,000 languages spoken worldwide. A great way for your children to learn about diversity and cultures is to experience the different languages first hand. Even if you already speak more than one language in your home, spend a Saturday learning how to say “hello” and “goodbye” in a new language. It’s a great way for children to become worldwide citizens starting at a young age!
