New Digital Series: The Ruff Ruffman Show!

Canine host extraordinaire Ruff Ruffman, best known for Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman, is back with a brand-new digital series! The Ruff Ruffman show is an all-new animated digital series designed to help kids ages 4-8 learn core science concepts through videos, game-play and hands-on activities. Ruff Ruffman, along with his assistants Blossom and Chet, answers questions from real kids, takes on challenges and learns the value of perseverance — all while modeling science inquiry skills. All 20 episodes of The Ruff Ruffman Show are available now on the PBS Kids Video App, the PBS Kids YouTube Channel and PBSKids.org, plus games and activities!

Produced by WGBH in Boston, the series is part of a multiplatform, playful learning media experience themed around four kid-friendly physical science topics: wearable science, sports science, kitchen chemistry and structures. Research has shown that the more children are exposed to foundational STEM skills early on in life, the more successful they are in other areas of learning in the future.

Jim Conroy, the voice of Ruff Ruffman, says "not being afraid to fail" is a core theme for the show. "I don't think anybody fails more than Ruff," Conroy says, "So it makes it okay to do that." Science is, after all, as much about trail and error as it is about learning new things. About the show, Conroy says, "I want kids to remember that Ruff is their friend. That it's okay to make mistakes, that some days are not going to be your best days," but you're going to have fun and learn something new along the way.
