Contact with Mary Dickson

Contact with Mary Dickson airs weeknights at 9:55 p.m. on KUED. The long-running community service series features interviews with non-profit and arts organizations. Filmed in the KUED studio, the interviews provide an important outlet for more than 300 non-profit groups each year to reach a broader community audience with information about their services and upcoming events.

UMFA reopens with all new exhibits and more

Our latest episode of Contact in the Community takes us to the UMFA. Considered Utah’s flagship fine arts museum, the UMFA will open its doors on August 26th & 27th after being closed for a year for renovation.

We met with UMFA Director Gretchen Dietrich and Curator Leslie Anderson to learn about what’s new, what to expect, and what the museum has to offer. Stop by the UMFA Reopening Weekend event to peruse the galleries and new installations and enjoy works from visiting artists -- including Spencer Fench’s site-specific installation in the museum's Grand Hall -- plus activities for kids, food trucks, tours of the collections, tours of the basement, a dance party and more.
