KUED Reading Marathon 2017

Video type: Clip

For our 25th Anniversary of the Reading Marathon, the BIG event will be the kickoff parties on November 4. We will be celebrating our Super Readers at the November 4 events instead of at a Super Reader Party in January.

KUED Kids main event will be the party with The City Library – a STEM Festival and Reading Marathon Kickoff on November 4 from 1PM – 4PM at the Salt Lake City Public Library. Bring the whole family, pick up your Reading Log, choose a book to take home, meet your favorite PBS Kids characters, and participate in engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities. Print the invitation here!

Families from Utah County are invited to the All Things Kids Expo, hosted by the Children’s Service Society, at the Thanksgiving Point Show Barn on November 4 from 10AM – 8PM.  The free event is another fun way to kick off the KUED Kids Reading Marathon and features magician Mike Hamilton’s “Magic in Learning” show and hands-on activities. Families can also pick up a KUED Kids reading log and choose a book to take home. Print the invitation here!

Challenge your kids, preschool through sixth grade, to read 20 minutes each day during the month of November. Print off the reading log or pick one up at the parties on November 4th to keep track of minutes read each day from Nov 1-30. At the end of the month submit your minutes online at www.kued.org/reading.
