We have some great resource to help you get started on your story. Download and print out the following documents to help develop your idea.
#1 Brainstorming your idea: use this helpful document to create character sketches, theorize a setting and flesh out your story with a beginning, middle and end.
#2 Get ready to write: You've got your story, now it's summarize your ideas in text before starting the illustrations.
#3 Story revision checklist: Most stories follow a tried and true formula; this checklist will help you ensure you've covered those bases and you're ready to begin illustrating.
NOTE: KUED accepts submissions from Kindergarten – 6th grade students. The national PBS contest is for grades Kindergarten – 3rd grade students. Since KUED extends the contest beyond the national submission grades, our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade winners are not eligible for national prizing.
