GoGREENER, airing Saturday, March 6 at 9:00 a.m. on KUED-Channel 7, is an upbeat, motivational special that provides simple, practical ways to become a more mindful consumer and save money.
The program dispels the myths that "going greener" is taxing or difficult, or requires a huge investment or major lifestyle change. Aimed at homeowners, as well as apartment dwellers, GoGREENER identifies small changes in everyday activities - the "low-hanging fruit" -that can result in greater efficiency and significant savings while strengthening the local economy and reducing dependence on imported energy and products.
GoGREENER looks at no- and low-cost solutions so that individuals and families can apply more mindful consumption. Special emphasis is placed on simple solutions. The overarching focus is dual-purpose: lowering consumption and minimizing impact on the Earth while saving money on what you consume.

GoGREENER is hosted by Susan Chang, an expert in environmental sciences from Cornell University's Cooperative Extension, and Morry Alter, a 20-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and anchor.
