KUED Presents Nature: "Clever Monkeys"

Contrary to popular belief, it's not just curiosity that helps monkeys learn to survive. Its their culture — the passing of information from one generation to the next — that teaches them much of what they know.

KUED-Channel 7 presents a special episode of Nature, "Clever Monkeys," on Sunday, March 28, at 7:00 p.m. Discover how monkeys communicate and socialize, how they rear and protect their young, how they use language and medicine. It turns out that a monkey's “culture” is not so very different from that of a human.

Travel around the world to visit some fascinating primates - from the marmoset in South America, to aggressive African baboons and compassionate toque macaques in Sri Lanka. "Clever Monkeys" is a classically produced documentary consisting of beautiful cinematography captured from afar and up close. Actor F. Murray Abraham narrates.
