Exploring how a spate of grisly killings in Regency London entered the national psyche and how the murder tale gradually became a staple of Victorian entertainment, helping to inspire the works of authors such as Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Agatha Christie.

Choreographer Mark Morris garnered international fame for his dance work, set to Handel’s Baroque masterpiece, in which a colorful array of dancers embody the ecstasy of art that transforms.
