KUED will host a free preview screening of its newest documentary, The Air We Breathe on Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The film, produced by Issac Goeckeritz (Brigham Street), examines the causes, the risks, and the costs and consequences of Utah's air quality.

This month, Doc Martin will be making another house call to Utah audiences with a new season.
The abrasive, yet brilliant and successful, Dr. Martin Ellingham is back in eight new episodes for the sixth season of Doc Martin beginning Saturday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m.  Stars Martin Clunes and Caroline Catz return, alongside Dame Eileen Atkins, Ian McNeice, and John Marquez.

KUED is accepting nominations for the KUED Teacher Innovation Awards, which will recognize five Utah educators who use media and technology in innovative ways to improve students’ learning.

Educators from grades PreK-12 will be recognized in five key subject areas including arts, math, reading and language arts, science, and social studies.

Teachers who use iPads, Kindles, computers, cameras, smart phone, and online materials can be nominated by students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.  Teachers may also nominate themselves.

Through Hawking’s own words, as well as those closest to him, viewers have an opportunity to get a fresh perspective on one of the greatest scientists of our time.

Pamela Travers was the creator of the universally-loved fictional character, Mary Poppins. Yet the whimsical fantasies of the sugar and spice nanny bore no resemblance to her real life childhood. Her mother was suicidal and needy.  Her father, an alcoholic, died when she was seven. Pamela’s imagination was her only refuge, a means of survival. After virtually raising her two younger sisters, she set about re-writing her life and the characters who populated it.

The highly anticipated Season 3 premieres Sunday, January 19 at 9:00 p.m. following the 8:00 p.m. broadcast of Downtown Abbey.

Along the way he meets individuals and experts to answer some of science's most puzzling questions. The series airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. on KUED beginning January 13.

Leading up to the long-awaited return of Masterpice: Sherlock (Season 3) on January 19 at 9:00 p.m. on KUED,  Unlocking Sherlock, a one-hour special explores how writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss created the hit television sensation. Unlocking Sherlock premieres Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on KUED. As a special holiday gift for Sherlock fans, PBS has made the program available for streaming on PBS.org.
