Changes are underway in Utah and across the nation concerning over-the-air television that will have ripple effects for viewers in the Richfield area.

The Federal Communication Commission, which in 2006 mandated the change to digital television, is now making another change in order to capture more over-the-air spectrum for the growing wireless service industry. The FCC will relocate channels on the broadcast spectrum in order to free up and auction this spectrum to wireless carriers.
