More than 144,000 Utah families are affected by Alzheimer’s disease.  KUED, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Utah Chapter and The City Library, is hosting  “You Are Not Alone,” a special evening Thursday, September 4 to increase public awareness  about the devastating disease. 

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at The City Library, where local community groups will be available with information about diagnosis, care, and resources.

What happens when a refugee camp becomes a home to generations?  POV: A World Not Ours, airing Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 11:00 p.m. on KUED, is an intimate, humorous portrait of three generations in exile in the refugee camps of Ain el-Helweh (literally "Sweet Spring") in southern Lebanon. Based on a wealth of personal recordings, recordings, family archives, and historical footage, the documentary was filmed over more than 20 years by multiple generations of the same family. The film was an Official Selection of the Berlin International Film Festival.
