Exploring how a spate of grisly killings in Regency London entered the national psyche and how the murder tale gradually became a staple of Victorian entertainment, helping to inspire the works of authors such as Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Agatha Christie.

A Very British Murder with Lucy Worsley begins Saturday, March 28th at 9:00 p.m. on KUED.

Merriment and Milton are hardly synonymous, but the poet who penned Paradise Lost also inspired George Frideric Handel’s L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato. Choreographer Mark Morris garnered international fame for his dance work, set to Handel’s Baroque masterpiece, in which a colorful array of dancers embody the ecstasy of art that transforms. 

L'Allegro with the Mark Morris Dance Company airs Friday, March 27 at 8:00 p.m. on KUED.
