Chasing Shackleton, a new three-part series recreating the path of history’s most extraordinary expedition, premieres Wednesday, January 8 on KUED at 9:00 p.m. The series follows a crew of five intrepid explorers led by renowned adventurer, scientist and author Tim Jarvis as they re-create Sir Ernest Shackleton’s epic sea-and-land voyage in a replica of the original boat, using only the tools and supplies his team used.

Who: KUED and the Salt Lake Film Society
What: KUED and the Salt Lake Film Society are offering a free screening of the new season of the smash hit, Downton Abbey. Free Tickets were available at 11 this morning and were all gone by 11:15. Guests were invited to dress in their finest Eduardian costumes. The program will be preceded by a small reception, including pastries, tea, and photo opportunities with cutouts of the Downton characters.
