KUED Executive Producer John Howe’s most recent projects include The Long Walk: Tears of the Navajo, narrated by Peter Coyote (PBS HD); Desert Wars: Water and the West (PBS), Wild River: The Colorado (PBS), and Utah: The National Parks (PBS), all narrated by Joseph Campanella; Butch Cassidy and the Outlaw Trail, narrated by Academy Award nominee for Into The Wild Hal Holbrook (PBS); The Great Salt Lake: America’s Legacy of Wetlands, narrated by Academy Award winner Joanne Woodward ; the PBS special Artists of the West, and the primetime PBS film The Snow Wolves (narrated by Joseph Campanella).
Primetime PBS music specials include the Christmas with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir series (featuring Sissel, Renee Fleming, The King’s Singers, Audra McDonald and Peter Graves, Frederica von Stade and Bryn Terfel), The Gift of Music (with Keith Lockhart), and A Christmas Gloria (starring Roma Downey from Touched By An Angel). Four of these programs have been the highest rated holiday performance special nationally on PBS.
