June 1962: On its last trip down the San Juan River, the Bureau of Reclamation captured an inscription on a rock: "CAMPO ANGELENO; This camp was reached by the 5 Zahn bros. of Los Angeles, Cal. Sept. 15, '15, in a Franklin automobile, the first car here."
