St. Sophia Hellenic Orthodox School began in 1997 with 35 students. The student population for the 2004-2005 school year is 95 children, preschool through sixth grade.

In addition to the core curriculum, students study Greek language, culture, tradition and religion. St. Sophia School strives to teach children respect for diverse communities by exploring the history, language and traditions of many cultures. The students are also taught the importance of a life of service through community and family involvement.
