Crochet Work

Handwork is one way immigrants to Utah continue to practice their cultural heritage. Each time a Polynesian woman knits, crochets, quilts, weaves and cooks traditional food; she brings a little bit of her homeland to life in Utah. Even though some of the materials and ingredients used in Utah are different from those used in Polynesia, the methods and skills are traditional.
