This large appliqué quilt is Tahitian tifiafia made by Henrietta Munainui. Tifiafia and Hawaiian quilts are large appliqué tops, which are quilted along the edge of the appliqué and can take up to a year to make. This fern pattern is reminiscent of Tahiti's rich foliage.
