Pit HouseWhen the existence of ancient historical sites in Range Creek Canyon was announced in the Summer of 2005, one group of Utah residents viewed the resulting media coverage with surprise, disappointment and even some anger. Native Americans complained they had been completely left out of the negotiations and initial exploration. “These are my ancestors,” said one. “This is my children’s history.”
