As we head into the final stretch of the 2008 election year, Utah NOW is presenting a series of debates in some of the races. Join us as we present the Utah Attorney General's debate between Attorney General Mark Shurtleff and challenger Jean Welch Hill.

Between daily TV news and in-depth public TV documentaries that take you deeply and richly into a subject, exists a void in public affairs programming.

The series, hosted by KUER’s Doug Fabrizio, is a combination of mini- documentaries examining local news stories and issues of the week; in-studio panel discussions and one-on-one interviews with high-profile newsmakers such as community activists, politicians, religious and business leaders, authors, artists, and educators; and citizens’ panels with a roundtable discussion with citizens who are affected by the issues.
