Last summer federal agents raided the homes of sixteen residents in Blanding, Utah.  They were arrested for plundering ancient Indian artifacts.  This week on Utah NOW we're exploring the story and the complicated role pot hunting has played in the culture of the region.

Between daily TV news and in-depth public TV documentaries that take you deeply and richly into a subject, exists a void in public affairs programming.

The series, hosted by KUER’s Doug Fabrizio, is a combination of mini- documentaries examining local news stories and issues of the week; in-studio panel discussions and one-on-one interviews with high-profile newsmakers such as community activists, politicians, religious and business leaders, authors, artists, and educators; and citizens’ panels with a roundtable discussion with citizens who are affected by the issues.
