Over the centuries believers and artists have always come up with their own take on the image of Jesus Christ - from stern judge to serene shepherd. This week on Utah NOW we'll talk about how and why those images have changed and explore the relationship between art and devotion.
Studio guests include Pastor Tim Dahlin, director of the Christian Center of Park City, and Richard Holzapfel of BYU's Religious Studies Department.
The Brigham Young University Museum of Art is currently exhibiting Beholding Salvation: the Life of Christ in Word and Image, which chronicles the life and mission of Jesus through historical and modern works. The exhibit runs through June 16, 2007. For more information, call the museum of art at 801-422-8287 or visit the Beholding Salvation Images of Christ website.
