Program Details

This week on Utah NOW--as the state prepares to celebrate its pioneer history, we're talking about the legacy of Utah's early settlers in the artifacts they left behind.

What did their houses, buildings and furniture tell us about their lives and their communities? And what are the challenges to preserving this history?

Studio guests include John Lambert, founder and president of Abstract Masonry Restoration, Peter Goss, an architectural historian and Richard Oman, the curator of acquisitions for the Museum of Church History and Art.

This week's Speak Out editorialist is Bill Allred.

Is a videotape or a CD available of the program "Pioneer Past", which was shown in July, 2007?

I could use something like this for a presentation to a Daughters of Utah Pioneers group, since the 2009-2010 lesson emphasis is on pioneer design and crafts.

Thank you.
