Instructions for Mac

Save (standard download)

• Click on the link for Mac download. The browser will open a "Download Status" window. For easy access, downloading to your desktop or to a dedicated download folder is recommended. To change the download destination, go to your browser preferences.
  
  
• If you have Stuffit Expander, it will automatically open a dialogue box asking you to choose a destination folder. Select the destination where your screen saver will be saved. The .hqx file that was downloaded to your computer will unstuff, creating a .sit file and a screen saver control panel in the destination folder. You can throw away both the .hqx and the .sit. The screen saver control panel named "wetlands" is all you need.
  
  
• If you don't have Stuffit Expander, go to Aladdin's website for a free download.
  

Install

• Find the screen saver control panel named "wetlands" that you have unstuffed.
  
  
• Move the screen saver file "wetlands" into the Control Panels folder in your active System folder.
  
  
• Restart your computer to activate the screen saver.
  
  Tip: Do not put more than one screen saver control panel in your system folder. This may cause unpredictable computer behavior.

Reconfigure

To deactivate the screen saver, or to change the default wait time (3 min.) before the screensaver activates:

• Select the screen saver from the Control Panel pull-down list under the Apple menu.
  
  
• You can also access the file by opening your Control Panel folder in your active System folder and then opening the screen saver's control panel.
  
  
• In the ScreenTime popup, you will see the following main options:
  • Activate after: Enter a numerical value in the entry box for the number of minutes you want the screen saver to wait after the last time either the mouse was moved or after a key was pressed, before showing your screensaver.
  • Screen Saver: At the top right of the control panel window is the master "on" and "off" switch. The "off" button deactivates the screen saver and automatically puts the control panel in the Control Panels (Disabled) folder.
    
    
• Closing the Control Panel will activate the new settings.
