Laura Finlinson

Laura Finlinson was able to return to school and earn a master's degree despite working as a school teacher and dealing with difficulties and raising children. Laura describes how getting her master's degree impacted her life.

Kimberlee Greenburg resorted to drugs and alcohol as an escape from her childhood experiences. It was intervention from a stranger that taught her to live and grow strong in a body that's only 3 feet 11 inches. She now volunteers speaking in schools in Salt Lake City.

Leah Barker CEO of Choice Humanitarian grew up in poverty in Puerto Rico and says that moving beyond the mentality of poverty is one of the most difficult things a person can accomplish.

Samira Harnish

Samira Harnish came to Utah from Iraq as a young bride in an arranged marriage. She struggled with isolation, adjusting to a new culture and language, and ethnic stereotypes. Today she is the director of a non-profit to help other women refugees.
