The Utah Film Center presents our 2nd annual Peek Award for Disability in Media. Acclaimed actress, author and mental health advocate Carrie Fisher is the second recipient of the Peek Award which annually honors the legacy of Salt Lake City native Kim Peek who served as the inspiration for the Academy Award-winning film Rain Man. The Peek Award celebrates an actor, subject of a film or director who has helped to shape our society’s perception of disability. There will be a book signing in the lobby with Carrie Fisher for ticket holders immediately following the event. Cost $50.00 per person.
