How to Maintain Your Brain

Memory disorders are increasing at an alarming rate and it's not just due to age. There are now many developing dementia in their 40's and 50s. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or prolonged stress, trouble sleeping or a family member with Alzheimer's or related dementia you may be at an even higher risk. This insightful workshop, developed by the Alzheimer's Association after years of research, provides insight into why dementia strikes some and not others, and gives practical tips on activities, foods, supplements, exercises and other things you can do now to protect yourself and loved ones from mental deterioration, including depression, and greatly reduce your risk for developing Alzheimer’s or related memory disorders, plus help you keep you memory sharp and clear year after year.
David R. Larsen, manages a federal grant for the Alzheimer's Association. He is also a Master Trainer for their Maintain Your Brain program. He has a master's degree in Family and Human Development, and is the former Director of Organizational Health at Hill Air Force Base. He also is the author of 3 books on how to improve memory and teaches classes on this topic for Weber State Univ.
