KUED and Speaking of Women's Health
KUED Channel 7 is a vital community resource in the areas of public discourse, education, community service, and the arts. We do this by providing alternative, noncommercial television programs, which educate, enlighten, and entertain. KUED-Channel 7 is dedicated to meeting community needs and promoting viewer satisfaction.
The proceeds from "Speaking of Women's Health" enable KUED-TV to broadcast programs exploring vital healthcare issues and to provide related outreach campaigns and resource guides to our communities. Some of the programs made possible from this event include KUED's Health Matters Initiative.
We seek to make our programs available to all Utah citizens and to ensure our programming responds to the needs, interests, and aspirations of the public. In doing so, we produce, acquire, and broadcast programs that address local interests and which reflect the diverse cultural, political, geographic, and demographic characteristics of the state.
Our programs encourage the diversity of opinions and perspectives, while ensuring balance, fairness, and a commitment to editorial integrity.
KUED also provides services for the University of Utah and the Utah Education Network, including the production and broadcast of educational and institutional programs, the use of computer-based instructional technologies, and training and employment opportunities for students.
