Writer's & Illustrator's Contest 2015

KUED has announced the local winners of the 2015 PBS KIDS Writers and Illustrators Contest​. First place winners in grades 1-3 will advance to the national level of the contest. Utah winners in grades K-6 were selected by a panel of judges including local writers bookstore owners, and library managers.

Every year KUED is a proud participant in the PBS KIDS annual Writers Contest because it underscores our commitment to the success of Utah children,” says KUED’s Carli Claflin who spearheaded this year’s contest. "The process of creative writing has been proven to not only support the building of key academic skills but to help improve a child’s self confidence, creativity, and imagination. KUED wishes the winners in K-3 advancing to the national contest the best of luck, and celebrates all of the talented Utah children who entered this years KUED contest.
