Halloween Craft: SLIME!

Hello, KUED Friends!

I hope you have been enjoying this beautiful weather and all things cozy this fall season!  We have the perfect craft for you to send October off in spooky Halloween style before we say hello to November. SLIME! This craft takes only a few ingredients, which can likely be found in your home, and is a really fun activity to do with the kids this Hallow's Eve or tomorrow while they are impatiently waiting to hit the streets for tricks and treats! So roll up those sleeves and channel your inner child cause things are about to get ooey, gooey, and awesome!

Colored Slime Recipe

Supplies Needed:

1 4 fl. oz bottle Clear Washable glue

1/2 TBSP baking soda

1 TBSP contact lens solution (not eye drops as pictured!)

Food coloring (your choice)

Large mixing bowl

Measuring spoons

Step 1

Mix together entire contents of (1) 4 fl. oz. bottle clear washable glue and 1/2 TBSP baking soda in large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add desired amount of food coloring, then add 1 TBSP contact lens solution and mix until slime begins to form.

*note: After my 3rd trip to the store (sigh) I still ended up with the wrong ingredient here! Make sure to get contact solution and not eye drops as pictured.

Step 3

Take slime out of bowl and begin kneading with both hands. If needed, add 1/4 TBSP more of contact lens solution to make it less sticky.

And you've got SLIME!

Feel free to make it extra spooky by adding creepy critters and magic potion sparkles!

Happy haunting, friends! Casey
