The 2019 KUED Kids Writers and Illustrators Contest celebrated the 50th anniversary of the moon landing by encouraging children grades K-6 to submit original illustrated stories on the theme of space. KUED received over 200 submissions from kids and classrooms across the state. The first, second, and third place winners were chosen by a panel of judges that included educators, KUED community partners, and arts administrators. Winning stories are being featured in a traveling exhibit that debuted at the Clark Planetarium this summer at our moon landing anniversary celebration.
