Series: America's 58 National Parks
Lakes: Crater Lake, Oregon
Located in southern Oregon and established in 1902, this park is not only the fifth oldest National Park in the United States, but is also the only park located in the state of Oregon. Centuries ago, following the collapse of a volcano that once stood here, a massive crater was formed. Thousands of years' worth of rain and snow collected, and created the deepest and bluest lake in North America referred to as "the lake of deep blue".
